Wadi Rum Desert Experts is a family-run, eco-tourism initiative based in the heart of the stunning Wadi Rum Desert. Founded and managed by Eid Hamdan, a native Bedouin with over 15 years of experience in desert tourism, our mission is to share the rich cultural and natural heritage of Wadi Rum with travelers from around the world.

Eid was born and raised in Wadi Rum, roaming its vast landscapes from a young age with his Bedouin family. Today, he continues this tradition alongside his brothers and cousins, each deeply knowledgeable about the desert’s history, terrain, and traditions. Members of our extended family still live as nomads, moving across the desert as generations have done before them.

We are proud to carry forward the legacy of our ancestors by offering authentic experiences that reflect the true spirit of Bedouin life. For us, welcoming visitors is not just about guiding—it’s about storytelling, cultural exchange, and keeping our way of life alive.

Why We Choose Eco-Tourism

As Bedouins who have lived in harmony with the land for generations, we are committed to preserving Wadi Rum’s natural beauty. That’s why we offer bivouac-style camping—a light and eco-friendly way to sleep in the desert. Unlike the growing number of fixed concrete camps that disrupt the environment, our mobile camps leave no trace behind.

In the evening, you’ll gather around a campfire near a natural cave, enjoy a home-cooked Bedouin meal, and sleep under the stars in peace. This simple and sustainable approach honors both the land and our ancestors.
